The very first impression that would come across your mind once you set your foot on Jordan Land might be subjectively negative. Specifically in Irbid, your eyes would terribly suffer a complete eyesore when you find rubbishes left all over the places. And here, cigars are tremendously found at most parts of passages you walk in. Jordanians (most of them) are very heavy smokers!. Even in Jaami'ah (University) they smoke openly, nothing to be disgraced for. Extremely overindulgence in smoking! ( kawasan jaami'ah je la. dlm kelas mmg mamnuu'(dlarang) la)
Sometimes, we (Malaysian) are always mistakenly (or purposely) called as Chinese.
" Ni Hao! .. Hao Hao Hao!" They jeered and laughed at us, with no clear basis at all.
Yeah, it would be equally irritating as someone is disparaging our existence here. Well, honestly we don't even care. Chinese power apeee.. bangga la!. haha. Some of us would not even respond to them at all, often at least with little smile of courtesy. Ye laaa, dyorang tegur kira oke la tu.
Some of us, would rather try to correct them up, that we're Malaysian. Not Chinese. They do take notice, but usually for nothing.
There was a tale.....
but never told by an idiot, that some Arabs here only know 3 races in this world; Arabs, Chinese and Indians. No wonder la, brader2 melayu yg da ala-ala stephen chow ni kna panggil camtu. :) Pasrah je lee

I recalled one of our senior used to say this to us:
Agree!
There are many kindnesses you could find among them that are very difficult to find them in Malaysia.
- Whoever you give salam to, regardless his/her appearances, nampak baik ke, jahat ke, brutal ke, they will definitely reply salam to you. Even we never know them before.
- Most of arabs here, when you greet them and ask their names, they feel pleasure to answer it. And it is easy to start conversation with them. (Though, sometimes, there are some of them like to mock and tease us)
- Often when they feel stressed and overwhelmed by any problems, they try to cope with zikr and doa to Allah. Astaghfirullahalazhim, Subhanallah, etc.
- And there are many more to explore.....indeed :)
Most of arabs see us as strangers maybe because they didn't get our attention. Try to give them your attention, greet them, talk to them. Insya allah, they will be kind to you.
Here is a story,,,,
There was a night, after solat isya, we passed along a group of children. They stared at us, some of them smiled at us, some of them just kept staring as they're seeing very strange people outside their houses. Okay! We're strange.
Then, we tried to greet them. Alhamdulillah, they responded to us. One of us, Halim noticed some of them wearing Real Madrid jersey (As I remembered). And ask them about football. Masya Allah, all of them respond actively. In Irbid, most of Arabs like either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
We : Assalamualaikum.

Children : Wa ilal liqaaa' ( Hope can see you again too)
We : Assalamualaikum
Once we took steps to leave the area, they started to sing along a song which they composed themselves. I think it was not much like a song, maybe a cheers would do. Here is the footage of video we managed to take. At that time, masya allah, we're very proud of Malaysia. And also feel very close to Jordanians and like to talk and know more about them. INSYA ALLAH :)
